I am an author-illustrator working in London since graduating from the Royal College
of Art in 2008. I work with books and self-initiated projects as well as Illustration
commissions. My books contain short, surreal narratives, often inspired by everyday
events that evolve into dreamlike and sometimes outrageous storylines.
I use collage, printmaking and drawing but also found objects; I particularly like
things that are washed ashore.
Alongside my image-based narrative books, I write and illustrate books for children.
I like creating characters that are involved in slightly absurd situations, combining
fun and poetic elements. I am a lecturer at UCA Farnham and live in East London,
where I grow pineapples in pots.
